A historic milestone for our company, which celebrates two decades of activity by announcing a massive development plan: new spaces, technological upgrades, new hires, and a strong tie with the Valtellina area.
This year DBM celebrates its first 20 years of activity. A milestone we have chosen to honor not only by looking back at the journey that led us to become one of the most solid realities in the biomedical sector, but above all by investing in our future.
We are proud to announce the launch of a major expansion project for our production facility in Tovo Sant’Agata (SO), supported by an investment of over 7 million euros between now and 2028. This step is part of the broader growth path undertaken with our entry into the Numantec Group in 2023, strengthening our international vocation while keeping our roots firmly planted in Valtellina.
The new hub: innovation and tripled spaces
The project involves the development of a new area of 9,000 square meters, purchased adjacent to the current plant, and the construction of a plant that will house the new warehouse and a new production area for a total of 2,700 sqm.
At the same time, a new office building will be constructed for a total of 300 sqm.
Strategic focus: global excellence in prefilled syringes
The primary industrial goal of this expansion is to boost the production of prefilled syringes with hyaluronic acid and solutions for proper vascular access management, which are essential medical devices in hospitals, for intra-articular therapies, and in aesthetic medicine.
Today, DBM is already among the leading European players in these sectors and ranks among the top manufacturers worldwide for prefilled syringe solutions for vascular access management.
From an artisan reality to a global player: the numbers of solid growth
Structural growth is supported by excellent financial performances. Our revenues have grown from 5.7 million euros in 2023 to 9 million last year, with the goal of reaching 10 million in the current year and exceeding 12 million in 2028. A profitability indicator (EBITDA) stably above 25% testifies to the solidity of the foundations upon which we are building our tomorrow.
Value for the community and new job opportunities
DBM’s expansion is deeply intertwined with the development of our territory. The subdivision plan includes the implementation of works benefiting the entire community of Tovo Sant’Agata, including a new public parking lot, equipped pedestrian rest areas, new sidewalks, and lighting.
Furthermore, the production growth will lead to a significant increase in employment. Numerous new units will join the current 50 employees over the next two years: from specialized technicians to production operators, up to quality control staff, involving both recent high school and university graduates.
